Birthday Card!!!

This one I created using the Happy Birthday tag  that was planted on the top of a birthday cake.
The moment I saw it and knew it can make a real good card.

I used a normal card stock as base. The theme used was RED, I made the border with bits & pieces of paper, all of them in red shades.
Finally pasted the tag on a RED paper cut-out.

Happy Teacher's Day!!!

Happy Teacher's Day......

This card I had created last year on teacher's day.
It was a special card as my 2 year old niece wanted to gift it to her teacher.

I didn't thought much about the design, it just clicked!!
I used a white card stock and bordered it with red pen.
I had a dark red color hand made paper which I had created at home using newspaper, color paper, rose petals and scent. I used this paper as the base and pasted one of the shells from my collection.
I used this shell as the face and created the rest of the body using a black marker.
Finally, I pasted the happy teachers day tag at the bottom of the card.

The final result is in front of you...Hope to make more such special occasion cards.

The First One!

The beginning of anything is always special!
My first post on my Art Work has to be special and at the same time I wanted to keep it very simple.
Keeping this in mind, I have selected this handmade card. Its simple but very special.
It's the Ganesha frame which I had created last year.

Ganesha is the symbol for every new beginning and also its Ganesh Chaturthi today.
So no better way to start with this Ganesh Frame.

Material used -
Old Cardboard
Floppy Disc ( the disc inside the 3 1/2 floppy)
Ganesha stcker from one of the wedding invites

The actual disc from floppy was removed and punched with punching machine and then border was cut using the snake teeth scissors.
The Ganesha sticker from one of the old wedding invitation cards was mounted on a small piece of jeans cloth.
The frame border is done by using silver colour gel pen.

I gifted this to one my close friends for his new business wishing him a new beginning!
Ganpati Bappa Maurya!
